The French shipyard Lagoon has officially presented its new catamaran, in September 2021 during the Cannes Yachting Festival! : the Lagoon 55. This novelty is actually a wink to the first Lagoon 55, built by the brand in 1987.
After more than 30 years, we can’t miss the evolution of the design, construction and the architecture of the shipyard.
Lagoon worked with Nauta Design to create the interior of this 55-foot catamaran. This collaboration gave birth to spaces combining high quality of life, elegance, luminosity and luxury, all in a harmonious atmosphere.
A mix of comfort, luxury and safety, this is what characterizes this catamaran ready to sail to the most beautiful places on the planet.
Layout of the Catamaran Lagoon 55
The shipyard offers different versions of 3, 4, 5 or 6 cabin layouts to meet different demands.
The boat has a huge cockpit of 25m² at the rear and a second one at the front of 9m². On the upper deck, the flybridge becomes a must. Indeed the surface of this one increased compared to its predecessor, which makes it possible to isolate the moments of idleness and the maneuvers.
Designed to offer a breathtaking and unparalleled view of the sea, with large spaces allowing fluid circulation on board.
Thanks to a very large bay window and the absence of a rear beam, its outward opening accentuates the terrace effect facing the sea.
It represents the perfect intermediary between the different models of the brand. With its beautiful dimensions, the new Lagoon 55 is positioned just below the recent Lagoon Seventy 7 and Lagoon Sixty 5.

Worthy successor of the Lagoon 560, the successful flagship model of the shipyard, the “55” catamaran is not only ideal for Lagoon regulars who are looking for novelties to acquire, but also for owners wishing to put their yacht under management for charter with crew, like Zylkene 1, in order to generate attractive revenues with charters.
During the tests in La Rochelle, its performance allowed it to maintain a speed between 7 and 10 knots depending on the wind angle. Three electric winches are used for all adjustments and cameras facilitate maneuvers in port.
